Angie’s List -- 1/19/2010 -- Leslie W. wrote: Cathy came over and met my dog Sebastian and brought him a couple of treats. Cathy and I discussed my needs for his care and she was able to accommodate. I was out of town overnight and Cathy came over at 4pm and spent a half an hour with him, fed him, including taking him for a walk. She also brought in my mail. She returned back that evening at 930p to walk him again for another half hour and play with him and put him in the house for the night and turned on the lights to the outside and night light for Sebastian. Cathy returned the next morning at 7am for his final walk for half hour and fed him. Cathy is very professional and responsible. She leaves me a report of day and time of each visit and how Sebastian did and if he ate his food etc. I am gone a few times a month overnight and I have never left my dog alone at night so this was new for me when Cathy started. But so far it is working out well. My neighbors have noticed her out walking Sebastian and playing with him and I feel less guilty leaving him. I feel the price I pay is very well worth the time she spends with Sebastian. I am very satisfied and she has watched him several times with additional upcoming dates planned. (Grade A)

Cathy came to my home and spent about 45 minutes so we could meet one another and she could learn more about our expectation for taking care of our boys. She is very warm and friendly. My dogs took to her instantly. She left notes on all her visits. The boys had plenty of water, the house was just as we had left it and everything was great. We chose to have Cathy stay overnight at our house to keep an eye on Max. Cathy took care of the six to eight walks a day and a complicated medication schedule -- including communications with our veterinarian while we were gone. Max even convinced Cathy into taking him for a few rides in her car, something he enjoys very much. Thanks to Cathy, we were able to go on our vacation, Max had great care while we were gone and we were able to relax (well as much as possible) on our vacation. Thank you again Cathy. Cathy offers a range of services - we did not need all of them, for instance, we did not have her do the lawn or turn lights on and off. The paperwork that we did and received was thorough. Because we were a bit apprehensive about the whole affair since this was our first time using a professional cat sitter, she kept us updated the first couple of days with texts. She asked us what to do if she encountered a problem, but she also came up with her own solutions and handled everything very professional. The cats did not seem to have a problem with her care, and in fact were not 'angry' with us upon our return (as they have been in the past). Cathy was very pleasant to work with and I would recommend her to anyone. We will certainly use her services again. (Grade A)

Cathy is GREAT! She is very thorough in her initial visit, responds timely to email and texts, and took great care of my dogs. My one dog was sick the day after we left, so she texted me and then took the time to clean out his cage (repeatedly), ration his food appropriately, hose him down when needed, and make an extra visit to ensure he was clean and ok. She left me detailed notes, and watered my indoor plant when it looked a little droopy. I definitely did not worry while I was gone and plan to use her again in the future. (Grade A)

Being new to the area I was very happy to find Cathy Clark's "Comfort's of Home" pet sitting business card at my local veterinary's office (whom I also found on Angie's List). My first contact over a year ago with Cathy was excellent. She is dependable, organized, prepared, kind, thorough and easy to work with. She took the time to come to our home and discuss details of our animals habits, routines, likes, dislikes and behaviors as well as our expectations from her. We reviewed the information she needed and the required paperwork, contract and pricing. During that visit she interacted with the animals in a very positive manner. She is always thorough when setting up her pet care appointments and even asks if I the animals need any medication or other things I sometimes forget about. I've made arrangements with Cathy via phone, in person as well as email, she is always quick to respond to any contact I've made with her. We've had Cathy care for our animals on numerous occasions and she always leaves a note letting me know details of what they did as well as any pertinent information I might find useful. Cathy has gone over and above her pet care duties. She has done some additional non pet related jobs for us. I called her while I was out of town with the animals and my husband was stranded in Europe due to the Volcano causing airport closures. I asked if she could possibly help me out - we had planted new flowers in the front yard, I had expected my husband would arrive home to water them but he was stranded due to the airport closures. She pleasantly agreed to spend her time watering them as often as I requested until someone returned. It was wonderful to come home to flowers growing nicely instead of finding them all dead. That was really a plus! She also brought in my mail for me - Thanks so much. I would highly recommend Cathy to anyone who needs pet care. My pets are much happier and comfortable at home than in the care of a pet boarding facility. Honestly I feel like Cathy is caring for my children in my absence and doing a great job of it as well! (Grade A)

Angie’s List -- 3/12/11 -- While I was on vacation, Cathy stopped by once a day to scoop the litter boxes, feed the cats canned food and check on their well being. She also brought in the mail and took out the trash for pickup. Things went very well. Cathy met with me prior to my leaving and we went over all the particulars. I was very impressed with her professional approach and record keeping. When I got home, I found a diary of her visits, which included tasks performed and how my cats were doing, including any behavior noted. Since my cats don't generally come out to meet strangers, Cathy looked under the bed (the cats' hiding place) to count noses. I was very pleased with the service and would definitely use it again. (Grade A)

Angie’s List -- 3/23/11 -- Cathy was great - she went over everything with us beforehand, kept a log of how our cat was getting along, and even sent us quick emails letting us know that all was well. Most importantly she takes an interest in the animals she takes care of. (Grade A)
Angie’s List -- 4/25/11 -- She came by daily to feed and tend to our three cats for one week. It went great. She showed up and did what she was supposed to do. She left detailed notes about the cats. She called us the first day to confirm she was able to get in and everything was going okay. (Grade A)
Angie’s List -- 6/10/11 -- After meeting with Cathy, I felt very comfortable about hiring her to make daily visits to care for my cat while I was away for a few days. Cathy came once a day to feed my cat, clean the litter box, and spend time interacting and playing with her. She also brought in my mail and newspaper, and generally made sure everything was fine in my home. I really appreciated the daily text messages updating me on how things were going, and she also left more detailed written notes for me to read when I got home. I will definitely use Cathy in the future. (Grade A)
Angie’s List -- 7/13/11 -- Cathy did a great job and I will use her again for my 18 yr old dog. Left very detailed reports for each day I was gone. Hand fed my dog who has a hard time standing up. Did a great job, I can't say enough good things about her. I got Cathy's card from my vet and set up a day for her to stop by and meet the dog. She came over and made detailed notes about the dog. My dog is 18 yr old and has to be hand fed which she did. I was gone a week and she came to house 3 times a day. When I got home there were detailed by day notes on how my dog did and what Cathy did. I will use Cathy again and can't say enough good things about her. (Grade A)
Angie’s List -- 7/24/11 -- Comforts of Home took care of our 2 dogs and watered our outside plants while we were on vacation. When Cathy first came out to meet us, she took detailed notes on the dogs, their needs, and our needs and special requests. We decided she would come 3 times a day for 8 days and feed them, play with them, and take them for walks. Cathy did a wonderful job!!!! We had an issue where our little dog found a way to get out of the fenced in back yard in between her visits. She went above and beyond to locate the dog, took the initiative to try and find where he had gotten out, and then she actually fixed the possible places where he was escaping. She called us to let us know what had happened and what she had done. Our outside plants looked beautiful even though we had such hot weather during this time. Overall I can't recommend Cathy and Comforts of Home Pet Sitting enough. Cathy is honest, trustworthy, and I will definitely use her company again! (Grade A)
Angie’s List -- 8/14/11 -- I asked Cathy to visit our home once a day during our vacation to feed our cat. Cathy was very responsive. She accepted us as new customers a week ahead of our vacation as our other petsitter was unavailable. She is very organized and professional, and clearly sets up expectations up front at the initial meet and greet visit. In addition to taking care of our cat and fish, she watered our garden and outside container plants, picked up ripe tomatoes and cucumbers and put them in the fridge, brought in the mail, etc. She took the recyclables to the curb. While she forgot to take out the trash, I imagine this was an oversight and I will be clearer in the directions in the future. She set up the house alarm. She took detailed notes each day of what she did, and how our cat was doing. She texted me to confirm that she was visiting and that all was well. Overall, she left me with a very positive impression. When we returned, all was well. Despite the weeklong 90+ weather outside, my outside plants were clearly watered and doing well. So was our cat. House was locked, alarm was set, and all was in order inside. I would strongly recommend Cathy, and certainly use her services again. (Grade A)
Angie’s List -- 8/30/11 -- Cathy came to our home 3 times a day to feed, exercise and in general take care of our 2 cats & 2 dogs. She also opened & closed curtains, watered plants, turned on lights & made our house look lived in. She went above & beyond her responsibilities. She took exceptional care of our "kids". I contacted Cathy via phone & we met at my home for an interview. Cathy took in depth notes about each of our animals. She interacted with each one to check their temperament. Buddy our aloof cat became her instant friend! We agreed on price, which was very reasonable and what her responsibilities were. Cathy far exceeded my expectations, she is a true professional. She texted me after her first visit to put my mind at ease. Our first night away there was a big storm and she knew my dogs would be scared so she left a restaurant with her family in tow to drive over and check on them. You can't buy CHARACTER. Cathy has it and an innate sense of duty, along with a true love for animals. I'm so thankful we found such a great person that just happens to be a pet sitter. (Grade A)
Angie’s List -- 12/29/11 -- Cathy came to our house once a day for 30 min. to clean the litter boxes for our two cats, feed them and change their water. She also brought our mail in and watered plants. Cathy did a wonderful job! She was very thorough when we met for the initial meeting, took plenty of notes, and left us with a handy list of what was still needed before we left. She was very gentle with our cats, one of our very shy and suspicious cats came up to her. I had no problem trusting Cathy with our cats and our key to the house. She left notes for every visit and called me back promptly when I left her a message. She is one of a kind and I am ever thankful she was able to fit us in over the holidays! Cathy will be "our" Petsitter from now on and I already recommended her to some of my coworkers. (Grade A)
